TOAPIN WEIR

Public BBQ

Toapin Weir presents a stunning hidden gem tucked behind Quairading, offering exceptional camping and day-visit opportunities. This well-maintained area features an impressive 18 million liter dam surrounded by beautiful scenery. Camping options include sites at the base of the rock or tucked away in trees, with spacious level areas suitable for all camping types including large vans. Facilities include flushing toilets (a bush luxury), gas BBQs, covered picnic tables with shade roofs, and walking trails. A notable feature is the chain link rail making the climb accessible for those seeking great views from the top. The quiet location provides wonderful morning birdsong and is dog-friendly with no 1080 baiting signs. Local thoughtfulness shows in benches placed at intervals up the rock climb. While generally peaceful, occasional vandalism from local youth has been noted.
